some advice...not good idea to wear white shirt when flyfishing for brown trout..norr fish downstream..best to cast upstream as trout face upstream and big, wary natural browns spook very easy.

I have a question.. ...

I have a question... why do my "dry" flies sink? My "floating line came with a darker colored 6 or 7 feet end to it that seems to sink and drag my fly under water. If this is WHY my flies are sinking is it ok to cut off the darker line and tie my lead to the yellow line that actually floats?
